Earth Day

St Paul's had a YOGA demonstation today for their Earth Day Celebration. Sophia doing her Down Dog, which is in pretty good form. Ms Sarah and Ms Jen lead the group, Ms Sarah is good at holding that Bridge position. Charlotte,, Mia, Sophi and Gabby "Four Musketeers" begin their Sun Salutations and work onto the "Tree Position" The kids really enjoyed the Yoga, Sophi has been talking about it for the last week. The teachers liked the RagDoll Position best, because the children are perfectly still lying on their backs being very calm( which was difficult for some)

KiKi in her Fav Chair

I thought my family might like to know that someone is finally sitting in Mom's Queen Anne Chair. She loves this seat and snuggles in for a nap. I hope Bette will show this to Mom to see if she remembers. (The Chair not KiKi)

Last Day @ Manatee Park

The girls opted to leave school a little early so they could spend some time with uncle Gregory, before he left for VA.
They had a picnic lunch , flew their kite, and swung on the Tire Swing.

Gregory Visits for some Sun & Fun

Although Gregory looks very white in this pic his forehead is Beet Red.
The pool was too cold for Gregory, so he spent his time in the Spa.
Emma relaxing by the pool.

Try, Try, Again

Paige helped me with attempt #2. I do believe the color of the icing was closer to the original, but it still was not fluffy. I don't know if the humidity had anything to do with that or not. Paige didn't seem to mind, as long as she was able to lick the spoon.

Spring Training --Day#2

This is our 3rd Annual Spring Training . This was a great game it was tied up until the bottom of the 7th?

Spring Base Ball Training --Day#1

This was a beautiful stadium and nicely laid out. We had great seats behind home plate. Donald Duck put in an appearance to help throw out the first ball. The weather was great warmer than the prediction, which was fine with me. Dick tossed back a few to help with the hot sun factor, while others chose to use the umbrella as a cooling device.

Before and After "The Cake"

For some reason the B'Day cake didn't quite meet my expectations this year. I even made two following slightly different mix of ingredients. Anyway about two weeks following Melissa's Birthday I found the original Recipe, so I promise I will try again when Gregory visits. Actually I am tempted to email Swan's Down and ask them to check their archives.

KiKi Visits Danny and Kathy

Kathy and Danny were nice to care for KiKi so I could catch a plane back to Florida since I had a job lined up with EJ. KiKi really loved the wide open spaces of this backyard.

Who Dressed Sophie?

Sophie dressed herself. She was staying home with me today because she had a fever yesterday. She packed these clothes to wear, without her Mom or big sister telling her what to do. She is very proud of herself, she is quite the Fashionista. She would not make any changes to what I suggested.

While in CR

Here I am trying out Mike's hammock, moments later the line behind my head slipped almost to the floor, which made me decide not to try resting again! Sandy and I took a walk down to the "Swimmin Hole" that was created by damming up the stream. The kids were on Holiday and you could hear them splashing and yelling everyday. We took a walk up the street and met a neighbor on horseback heading up to the paved highway.(which was a two lane asphalt road) The bottom pic is looking across the calle from Sandy & Mike' front gate.

Sandy & Mike's Hacienda

Just about every morning we would have coffee and fresh fruit on the Patio/terrazzo. They have about every fruit imaginable growing on their lot. Bananas, mangoes, lemons.limes, oranges, papyas etc., plus Mike has started a vegetable garden. Dick spent time reading/relaxing. Mike has built a retaining wall on this side of the house, but is planting what I thought resembled Hibiscus, because the roots hold the ground.
