Mother's Day 2009

I said we were not cooking for Mother's Day, so I took everyone to Smyrna Yacht Club for Mother's Day Buffet.
The girls thought the Club house (in the background)looked like a church, I think it has a Spanish influence.
Emma enjoyed watermelon and carrots. I think the adults fared better than the girls, we liked everything. We all went back a few times, I thought the meal was yummy. All of us did partake of the Desserts without hesitation, I believe that Chocolate Mousse/Chocolate layered Cake was the winner, although I enjoyed the Key Lime pie.
The girls are trying to decide what to do with all the forks and spoons. Sorry for the glare, that window in the background overlooks the ICW-Indian River, so you could watch boats coming and going.

Sophia's 5th B'Day

Sophia wanted a Pool Party Theme this year. Her Dad made this beautiful cake. Pool was made from a blue Glaze that he experimented with until he combined the right ingredients to get the texture he needed. Then he made a Lawn chair from Popsicle sticks for Polly Pockets and put out a few beach umbrellas. Very Creative!
Charlotte looks on as Sophi opens the "Horse in a Bag" from Charlotte
Ok, all the girls from St Paul's line up and try to jump in together, this was funny, I wish I had mad a movie of this.
This may look like Sophia walking on water, which she was so hyped up, she may have actually felt that way.

Anna Walking

After Graduation we had a little celebration for Anna' B'day. She was 1 on 4/30 but we were unable to make the trip to Ohio.
She doesn't seem to mind, and it gives her practice blowing out the candles as Uncle Robert looks on.
She would walk anywhere I believe for Grandpa's keys or glasses
A little unsteady but she moves around easily.

Robert's Graduation-Vanderbilt University

Dick and I met in Nashville this past weekend for Robert's Graduationfrom Vanderbilt on 5/8/09. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies:Health Services Research. Anna and Adrienne "A" drove in from Ohio, so we were able to see the Baby. Courtney was there and made a quick trip to the Bookstores for some VU tees.
Dick, Robert, and his Mom Dottie.
Anna with Mom and Grandpa, much happier now that the ceremony is over.

Girls Cleaning

Emma is cleaning the Polly pockets and the dolls that go with the Dollhouse. Notice that they are drying out on the purple towel below the sink. In one of these shots I actually believe Sophia is putting away clean laundry.

Melissa the School Teacher

Melissa reads to her 4th grade class outside. That's what nice about being in Florida. Sophia looks bored, do you think she is ready for kindergarten?

Down the Hatch

Dick was here for the weekend of 4/12. We took a trip by water Taxi to a neat Restaurant on the water called "Down the Hatch" which has been at the inlet for years first as a fish camp, and now has a restaurant . The Nina and Pina reproductions were docked at Inlet hargor, so they had a big ground that was touring the boats.
