Party#1 for Sophia's 2nd B'day

Sophia had a practice run tonight when we arrived home from Universal we had a small gathering for Brownies with candles & Ice Cream. Afterwards we watched the demise of Bad Girl Power, when she was doused into a bubble bath.

Face Painting

Paige selected Good Girl Power to be painted on her face. Emma selected Bad Girl Power. Emma is a pro at having her face painted. She is a Drama Queen, so she was very willing to sit still for as long as it took for the lady to finish. She had purple lipstick with glitter. She was very concerned that it would come off before we arrived home, and her Dad wouldn't be able to see it. She asked every 2 minutes if it was still on. Of course the ride was longer than usual due to the Brush Fires along RT 95 we needed to take a detour. Paige was also excited about having her face painted, and behaved very well. This was the last thing we did before we left the Park. I think the girls had a good time, I know I did.

Super Heroes Galore!

Today we stayed to watch the Super Hero Parade. They all drove their ATV's up Main Street, then posed with everyone who wanted their pic. Mo was so Happy to be with Wolverine. Emma really was excited about posing with Storm, Cyclops, and whoever this other Super hero was. Sophia was delighted th share her Cat in the Hat with Spider Man. Paige was a little terrified of Spidey, but as long as she held onto one of my legs, she felt secure.

Universal Park...Here I Come..5/09/06

Here we are in Universal.....Dr Seuss Land. Grandma bought Sophia a Cat in the Hat to drag around for her Birthday. Then we went to visit 1 thing and 2 thing, for some reason this was the only character that Paige would pose with. Sinbad put on quite a show with all his jumping and saving the Princess. The girls really enjoyed this show, even if we were in the "Splash Zone"

If it is Sunday it must be DUNKIN DONUTS

When I am in Florida, the girls like to have a "sleep over" on Saturday night. Usually, we get donuts for a Breakfast Treat the next morning, so they have begun a sorta of tradition. The first Sunday I came down, I told them they would need to eat their fried eggs before they cold have a donut. Sophia, looked at hers, I believe she may eat scrabled eggs, or she has seen her Mom eat Fried Eggs. So she was willing to give it a chance. Emma was a bit more cautious. Since we couldn't remember if she had ever had eggs, except to find the ones the Easter Bunny left, she refused. Paige was willing to try if it meant she could then have the chocolate donut with sprinkles. Then they began to take little bites, not too bad! Eventually Emma tried and discovered that it really was a "Gummy" Fried Egg that Grandma bought at the Amish Market. So I just had to capture this moment when my grandchildren were eating eggs!
I bought Mo a new bathing suit as a belated B'day gift. She tried it out in the pool. She is really getting her "Swim Team" figure back. The pool is now heating by the solar panels. Now if the Squirrels will just not eat/tear the panels, maybe the pool will heat up enough for Paige. It was 83 degrees when I left last week. I belive Paige likes it about 90 degrees(water temp) Emma goes in regardless, this day I believe the water was 73. She is trying to set up the floating/sliding board for her Mom

Grandma Bobbie's Helper Girl

Emma loves to clean my glass table. Actually all the girls love to spray and wipe. Paige and Emma usually fight over whose turn it is to clean the glass table. Sophia just gives in and does the sliding glass door to the pool, which is always covered with prints???

Black Bears Game Day

Saturday, April 19th, Soccer Day . Emma and Noah discuss team strategy during half time of oranges. Paige prepares to come in as a sub should the need arise. Is that Tom Cruise in those Foster Grants? Emma and the Bears in offense steamroller play to score another goal.
I arrived on April 19th and proceeded to Universal Park immediately. We finally got to see the beetle Juice Revue. Notice how nicely the girls pose for me. Sophia is waiting patiently for her Mom to finish her ride on Woody Woodpecker ride. We have a treat at the Drive-In, before we depart for home.

Cherry Blossom Time

Isn't this tree simply beautiful? That is Dick's house with the Plum color door. We have had gorgeous weather this week. It was near 80 today. Thursday, I met Steph, Morgan and Tyler at the Amish Market for Breakfast. Friday, I tried to take the Buick in for the new Tire, but the battery was dead, and the car would not start, so I waited until Dick could help me today. I went to the VH house Friday afternoon and worked cleaning out the kitchen. Steph complained about a gas smell, at first I couldn't smell anything. Elva came by and I went out doors in the fresh air to tell her good-bye, and when I returned I could really tell that there was a gas odor. Today Steph called the Gas Company, they turned-off the gas. I am going to work on the "junk room" on Monday.I sent Dad all his favorite CD, only to discover that they were empty cases! I had kept the Bonnie Rait CD that I loaned him and the Willie Nelson, that he claims he hates. On my way over to Va., when I tried to play them, the cd's were missing. I'll have to search for them on Monday.  Posted by Picasa

This is Susan and myself with our favorite Senator! I can't believe that I will be in Florida in 11 days! I am so excited about seeing my girls. Posted by Picasa

Return walk from the Staehouse

This is a shot of Lawyer's Mall. You can see the statue of Thurgood Marshall, thru the beautiful blossoming trees. This is the area where all the Rallys' are held. Just the other day there was a bomb scare and everyone had to evacuate the Statehouse, so everyone was just chillin' in the warm sun. Next is a shot of the Lowe Bldg, where the Delegates are housed and Delgate Committees are held. They are nearing completion of the building/remodeling of the Lowe Bldg.  Posted by Picasa

Runner for the MGA

As the session winds down the # of times per day that I walk over to the Statehouse increases. Thursday, I believe I made 4 trips, that is not counting the delivery of "Voting List"/ "Committee Reports". So Friday I decided I would take some scenic shots of my walk. The first shot is coming out of the James Bldg gates. Across the street you can see the side yard of the Governor's House. Next, is walking thru Lawyer's Mall, I must say it is beautiful this time of years, everything is coming into bloom. Straight ahead is the Statehouse , to the right is the back yard of the Governor's House. Finally is the trudge up the stairs of the Statehouse. Thursday, I discovered the doors locked, because of "the Politics". So, I turned around and went in the basement entrance. and made deliveries to Sect. of the Senate, President's Office, Ammendment office and Information Desk. Friday was a repeat. This year we are not having a Saturday session, so I anticipate a lot of running on Monday. I plan to bring my running shoes. Since I just got over pneumonia, I am a little winded from these runs, but hopefully by the time I return to Fl. I will have re-built my staminia Posted by Picasa
