The Ponds

If you have visited here you realize that these "ponds" have a 5 ft bank. The water has now come up and is even with the shore. In some places the water has come out and over the streets, but we have been pretty lucky here.

Sights of Fay at "the Shores"

Hurricane Fay toppled over my Guava tree, but Melissa was able to upright it later and now has it strung to my fence. I just hope my fence doesn't go over in the next storm. The pool water was rising to the tippy top, but during the night I guess the pump kicked in and kept it from overflowing. All the low spots have flooded and there are a multitude of breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Hurricane Fay

We went out on a mercy trip(to buy crickets and meal worms) before the Hurricane came thru Edgewater. The Kids were out of school Tues-Fri. I would say that it actually came to Edgewater late Thursday, the previous two days it just sat in Brevard County(just south of Volusia). We moved all the items that might blow away into the kitchen and garage. The girls liked having the Glass patio Table sitting in the middle of the kitchen, Paige and Sophia decided that is where they wanted to have their dinner served

The LIME Harvest

The girls have been insistent about picking the limes, especially since Dick bought this hand Juicer.
They picked about a half dozen limes to make 3/4 cup of Lime juice. Then we made Limeaide, which they decided they really didn't like except for the cherrries we put in it.

Tyler's Visit to Skate Park

Sophia is still hands on with her skateboard(scooter actually) Tyler demonstated how it is done Emma and Ethan attempt the "bike over the Ramp" never before attempt by any of them. But really Will is the one to watch if you want to know how it is done.

KiKi and Dick

KiKi enjoys sharing Ritter's Ice Cream with Dick. It is a new place that just opened in town. KiKi's snout just fits perfect into the cup.

GiGi and Annie B'Day Party

Annie and GiGi"s Birthday at the Beach. Sisters just born days apart, but we know about that right Paige and Emma? All the girls gather at the "Boat" in the Park Breaking the Pinata! (With the help of Laura) GiGi received a snorkel and mask from me, since I know they love diving in the pool. Judy and Sailor "Chill-Out" at the Party, they had been to several Pool Parties that day and Sailor was beginning to drag a little.

The Jumping place

The Boys and Girls went to "The jumping place", one of the ladies in my Reiki Group had told me about this, so before we all head back to school, they tried it out. Emma enjoyed sliding down one of the many huge "blown-up" slides. Sophia excelled in the mountain climbing

Paigey Do it One More Time

We went shopping yesterday. Ok, on a whim Paige agreed to another earpiercing. The first one at age 2(?) didn't last. She was promised a lolipop if there were no tears. What a BRAVE girl! Now all the girls have ears pierced. It took two ladies to do the job, actually they each took an ear and pierced at the same moment. Emma gave her approval, but Paige was anxious for the BOYS to see them. I hope they noticed! BTW that is a candy necklace around Paige's neck, they did not have candy ear rings to match.

What Will They Think of Next?

I received this hammock chair from Sandy and Mike after there first stay in Costa Rica. The thought was it would be nice to sit and relax in the sun while I did some reading. The kids soon discovered they could swing using an attached rope, if all of them would pull the rider.

4th of July @ Schraders

Isn't this sweet Ethan and Sophia sharing dinner of Waffles with all their favorite treats spilled on top? The children always find something to play with...in this case it is Abby's kennel. I don't understand what the fascination is with the dog's pen, but all the kids kept themselves amused. Only Sydney is content to be on the outside, although it looks like she is she is begging to be let in. Melissa and Jen enjoyed the Mudslides, and at this point they were able to finally relax and unwind.

Girls at the Pool 6/15/08

Today I had Annie, her sister GiGi and Sailor come to the pool for a swim. I was happy to have some company since I am missing my angels. coincidentally I discover the girls are all in swim class together, so they were very happy to practice before tomorrow's class. Miss Judy(Sailor's Gma) gave out cookies, since the girls had worked up quite an appetite Miss laura (Annie&GiGi's Mom) gave a countdown for the jump contest. BTW, we all miss Emma, Paige and Sophia!
