Hurricane Ernesto.........Fizzells Out

Well, I prepared for the Hurricane by placing everything that Ithought could be blown away inside the house. Emma and Sophia liked the idea of all that "stuff" in the house. They played more on the furniture, than when it is outside After nap we went to the White's to visit Gibbs. Since last week , Gibbs barely shut his eyes today. He was allover the place, I believe the "chewing stage" will begin very shortly. Emma and Jena played games, while the rain poured outside. Sophia and Stef watch Ernesto coming up the ICW. 

Singin in the Rain

These shots were taken last Friday, when we had some of the most rain we 've had in the last 3 months. The girls are fasinated with umbrellas. They also are willing to sweep, even if it is only for a short time. Emma's favorite pastime is now looking for frogs, lizards, and "Bugs". She found this worm during the rain, I convinced her to put it in my garden, but only after she had spent much time examining it from tail to tail????  

Sleepy Time

Do I look tired? Paige took this shot of me at the end of "Play Time". I think she did a great job, the pic is centered and my eyes are open. Sisters will be sisters. The girls gather for a "Group Hug" . 

Girls Behavin' Badly??????

On Saturday, the girls usually come over to spend the night. We all look forward to our sleep over. I decided in order to keep a better reign on activities, that I would limit the girls play area to the "Princess Room", this past week. This may have been too tight quarters to keep the peace. Sophia usually is the most content of the 3, she finds ways to keep herself occupied while Emma and Paige battle it out . BTW -- that is "play" ice cream, she made herself a vanilla cone. Emma decided she want to make the fort into a restaurant. This "FORT" situation almost seems to get out of hand. Emma has some definite thoughts about how it should be constructed and is not happy with anyone who disagrees. Sophia does not take any stuff off of Emma, here she is trying to tie Emma up with a bongee cord, while Paige offers encouragement. I don't know if SuperGirl will be able to get out of this one! 

The Day Before School

We took a quick trip to Universal on Sunday. The girls always enjoy the carousel, but this time Emma was tall enough to go on one of the Roller Coaster rides, she had never been on before. While Mike and Melissa ride Dueling Dragons, the girls measure to determine how much they will need to grow before they can join their parents. Looks like Sophia is going to have a wait. Of course it won't be acomplete visit if we didn't stop to visit our Super heroes. 

Sh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dog Whisperer

Melissa has run out of candidates to teach swim lessons, so she has started on Loki and Boda. Loki needs to be coaxed into the pool, but Boda will come in on her own. I believe Melissa's main objective this day was to teach them how to swim to the steps and get out. Unfortunately, as you can see here they are just doggy paddling to the nearest side of pool. Mo has three assitants to give encouragement to the pack as they begin to swim lengths, of course Melissa has already established that she is the Leader of the Pack. 

Animal Kingdom

Stephanie treated us to a day at Animal Kingdom. It was amazing. Animals were walking around , right outside our balcony. We just sat and watched, nobody was interested in going to the pool. Emma and Paige check out the accommdations. They were pleased that they had individual lights at the head of each bunk. Emma opted for the top bunk, just like at home. Paige was more interested in what the refrigerator could hold. It was a very fun trip, the girls really enjoyed the animals and the pool, I know I did. 

Adrienne's Bridal Tea

Sunday 7/16/06 Adrienne's Matron of Honor--Courtney--her sister, gave her a Bridal Tea on Sunday. Courtney really went all out! I think she should open up her own tea room. A received some lovely gifts, she is very excited about the wedding and the new home! Haley joined us after a little nap. She is quite the social butterfly. 

Yes, We Have Some Bannanas

Well, my first bumper crop of Banannas are starting to produce. This is the first bloom to open and you can see the bunch has more than 6 "fingers". Loki and Boda came down to help guard the pool. they love to round around the pool and snap at the water. So far, neither of them have jumped in, but we did throw Boda in the other day and she safely swam to the side steps and promptly got out. I am trying to teach the girls pool duties, so they will take care of the pool in my old age. Sophia is becoming very adept at netting leaves from the pool, I even bought the girls their own child size net, which they fight over.  

7/4/2006 Oh Say Can You See?

This being my first time for a shuttle launch, Ididn't know what to expect. Dick and I were watching it on TV, then I thought I wonder if we can see it from the Yard? I went out and could see it relly clear, it was amazing! So I ran back in and grabbed my camera, and got these shots as it was going out of sight. We are maybe 30+ miles North of Titusville/Cape Canaveral, so we could actually see the shuttle from my front yard. I never imagined I would be able to see it so clearly, or I would have planned to be outside with my camera in my handwhen the countdown started. Next Time! 

Celebration of My Speedy Recovery

Mike and Melissa hosting a Pool Party on the 5th day of my recovery. I believe everyone had a good time. The kids loved the hot dogs and corn-on-the-cob. the Adults were treated to some delicious chicken prepared by Mike/Melissa. They are spending alot of time watching the "Food Channel", and you can tell by the yummy meals! The kids had a great time in the pool. We had some new friends with their 2 boys...Chris and John. And of course we had Dora as our lifeguard! 

Sandy's Visit

Sandy arrived just in time to help me thru the worst day of my pneumonia. She flew in on a Sunday night , we laid around the pool all day on Monday. Tuesday we went to the Beach, and tried to wear the girls out so they would take a 3 hour nap. As you can see they were hot and miserable in my back seat. I convinced Sandy it was OK to walk into 7-11 without a "Coverup", as you can see she was quite daring! Anyway later that afternoon, I made a trip to the Quick Treatment Center where I was diagnosed with Pneumonia(for the 2nd time sine March). Anyway, I got my antibiotics and other cough/conqestin medicine, and went home to have Sandy cook me a nice dinner. I need to have guest like her more often. So by the time the 6 pills were taken in 6 days, I was feeling better.

First Night Time Swim

We had our First Night Time Swim. the girls came over about 8:30 and stayed for an hour. I was hoping this would tired them out and they would go straight to bed. Katy and Jena also came over for our test. I decided that before I made the final payment to the Pool Co., I had better check out the lighting system. The girls really enjoyed swimming in the dark time, as you can see. Jena and the girls attempt to walk on water. Melissa does her famous "Jaws" impersonation.
