Adrienne's Bridal Tea

Sunday 7/16/06 Adrienne's Matron of Honor--Courtney--her sister, gave her a Bridal Tea on Sunday. Courtney really went all out! I think she should open up her own tea room. A received some lovely gifts, she is very excited about the wedding and the new home! Haley joined us after a little nap. She is quite the social butterfly. Posted by Picasa

Yes, We Have Some Bannanas

Well, my first bumper crop of Banannas are starting to produce. This is the first bloom to open and you can see the bunch has more than 6 "fingers". Loki and Boda came down to help guard the pool. they love to round around the pool and snap at the water. So far, neither of them have jumped in, but we did throw Boda in the other day and she safely swam to the side steps and promptly got out. I am trying to teach the girls pool duties, so they will take care of the pool in my old age. Sophia is becoming very adept at netting leaves from the pool, I even bought the girls their own child size net, which they fight over.  Posted by Picasa

7/4/2006 Oh Say Can You See?

This being my first time for a shuttle launch, Ididn't know what to expect. Dick and I were watching it on TV, then I thought I wonder if we can see it from the Yard? I went out and could see it relly clear, it was amazing! So I ran back in and grabbed my camera, and got these shots as it was going out of sight. We are maybe 30+ miles North of Titusville/Cape Canaveral, so we could actually see the shuttle from my front yard. I never imagined I would be able to see it so clearly, or I would have planned to be outside with my camera in my handwhen the countdown started. Next Time! Posted by Picasa

Celebration of My Speedy Recovery

Mike and Melissa hosting a Pool Party on the 5th day of my recovery. I believe everyone had a good time. The kids loved the hot dogs and corn-on-the-cob. the Adults were treated to some delicious chicken prepared by Mike/Melissa. They are spending alot of time watching the "Food Channel", and you can tell by the yummy meals! The kids had a great time in the pool. We had some new friends with their 2 boys...Chris and John. And of course we had Dora as our lifeguard! Posted by Picasa

Sandy's Visit

Sandy arrived just in time to help me thru the worst day of my pneumonia. She flew in on a Sunday night , we laid around the pool all day on Monday. Tuesday we went to the Beach, and tried to wear the girls out so they would take a 3 hour nap. As you can see they were hot and miserable in my back seat. I convinced Sandy it was OK to walk into 7-11 without a "Coverup", as you can see she was quite daring! Anyway later that afternoon, I made a trip to the Quick Treatment Center where I was diagnosed with Pneumonia(for the 2nd time sine March). Anyway, I got my antibiotics and other cough/conqestin medicine, and went home to have Sandy cook me a nice dinner. I need to have guest like her more often. So by the time the 6 pills were taken in 6 days, I was feeling better. Posted by Picasa

First Night Time Swim

We had our First Night Time Swim. the girls came over about 8:30 and stayed for an hour. I was hoping this would tired them out and they would go straight to bed. Katy and Jena also came over for our test. I decided that before I made the final payment to the Pool Co., I had better check out the lighting system. The girls really enjoyed swimming in the dark time, as you can see. Jena and the girls attempt to walk on water. Melissa does her famous "Jaws" impersonation.

Friday Beach Day

This morning we went to the beach. We met the boys and their company from Maryland. The kids had a great time playing in the collapsable tent. Can you believe they had 8 kids in the PlayHut?They had a great time and really enjoy the "little house". Of course Sophia is not anxious to leave and puts up a struggle, but she knows it is time for lunch and a nap.  Posted by Picasa

Seaside Fiesta

Last night we went to the Fiesta on Flagler Ave. They had blocked off the street from the Bridge to the Ocean. We walked all the way down to the Ocean and back. They had booths set up with crafts, food and games. The girls wanted cotton candy, and Emma was the guardian of the bag. Paige couldn't cram it into her mouth quick enough, and of course she had to sneak a big piece from her big sister. After the cotton candy was finished we went to the ocean, and took a stroll, the weather was fabulous! Posted by Picasa

Afternoon Swim

I think the girls really enjoyed Dick's visit. They knew I was excited and I believed they shared my excitement. They loved having someone big and tall who they could climb on and would throw them all over the pool. Paige continues to progress in her swimming. She and Sophia will start swim lessons at the "Y" on the 26th.  Posted by Picasa

Manatee Cruise

We all went aboard the "Manatee" for a 2 hour cruise, on the waterwayfrom NSB to Ponce Inlet, on Saturday morning. Skyline of the Beach Returning to our Home Port.........Sea Harvest, which also serves the best Grouper sandwich. Two Pelicans await our arrival home. Posted by Picasa

Manatee Cruise

We left our port and headed north. The first site was the Pelican Island, which is a Rookery for Pelicans and Egrets. Those little white spots are the birds, as you can tell the island was filled with them. The second pic is a shot of the South Causeway, which takes you to the Beachside/Ocean. This is ponce Inlet Lighthouse the tallest lighthouse on the East Coast? The final shot is of the Inlet Harbor Restaurant where we ate dinner last night. You can drive or come by boat. Posted by Picasa

Inlet Harbor-Ponce Inlet

We went to Ponce Inlet to have dinner Friday night. The place we went to , Inlet Harbor had dinning outside with a live band or dinning inside. Since there was an hour and half wait, we sat out on the deck and had a few drinks and listened to the band, until we could be seated. The food was very good. Earlier we had gone to a new place in NSB, that just opened. It was a wine and Tappas bar, I wouldn't mind going there again, maybe our next visitors we will take there.

Another Day at the Beach

Dick and I took Saralynn to the Beach. It was a beautiful day. We met Melissa and the girls at the beach, who were there with the Schrader boys and relatives from out of town. We had a rather large group. This is Super Swimmer. She has now discovered her "Powers", so i thought it was only proper for her to have a costume to match. In the last week she has really progressed. She has gone from having a choke hold on my neck all the time, to being able to jump in and swim across the pool. We are going to work on swimming a length. Posted by Picasa
