Social Security Celebration

Dick Dick and Sandy at the Miles River Yacht Club in St Michaels. Little did I know, that after having Bronchontis for a week and being on anti-biotics , I was on the road to a relapse. This was Saturday night 4/25/06, by Monday I was sick, sick , sick. Tuesday, I visited the doctor, had a chest xray, and blood test and was pronounced as having Bronichial pneumonia. I was unable to go to work the rest of the week. Sandy and Mike celebrating Sandy's receipt of her first Social Security Check. Posted by Picasa

April 25, 2006 Waiting for Grand-Dad

Haley and I are waiting patiently in the car for Dick (Grand- Dad) to attend to some business in his office. She is such a good baby, not a bit fussy. After a half hour, I have tolerated all the waiting that I can, and I become fussy! Haley being encouraged by me to not wait any longer. Posted by Picasa

SICK SICK SICK

I have been home since Tuesday. The Dr. said I had bronchial pneumonia , gave me a Rx and sent me for chest X-ray and blood work. Well, the results came back and she was right, no wonder I have felt like s--- for the last few days. Of course this all started about mid-March, my first visit to Dr Judith(actually she is a crnp), she said I had Bronchonitis and gave me some anti-biotics, which evidently didn't have much punch. I don't know how the General Assembly has managed without me. I feel like I will be able to return on Monday, and a good thing too since this will be the last week.........And then I am back to Florida. I was wondering if this is a message that I should spend winters in Florida and summers in Maryland. Perhaps another visit to Casa Daga is in order upon my return to help me better understand . Next week is sure to be busy, busy, busy. I have really enjoyed my work this winter. But, I can't wait to try -out my new pool and Spa which my grand-daughters really enjoy, I am told.

Dick's Trip to AL/GA

Dick went to Alabama and Georgia on 3/18/06 to visit friends and realtives. This is a picture of his cousin Saralyn and her doggie who are going to visit me in Florida the first part of June. I hope Loki won't be too jealous! Dick's son Robert came from Tenn. to join Aunt Dot for a small family reunion.

Curly Top

Grandma has a new hair do. I had a hair trim, shampoo and curl.???? last Saturday. I call it my Christine Aquleara look. I gave the stylist "artist freedom", and she took me up on it. It only lasted a day, just as well! But it did last long enough for the Jimmy Buffet Birthday PartY Posted by Picasa

Sakura Steakhouse / Foyer Group

Last night we went to the Japanese Steakhouse. As you can tell the chef moves very quickly, plus the bright light from the flames, I think made the pic blurred. Dick and Peter were having a great time, trying the different Japanese beer and exoctic drinks.  Posted by Picasa

Friday and Saturday night the girls had a sleepover with Grandma! Sophia wasn't feeling too good. Since the girls had stayed up until 10:30 on Friday, they had an earlier bedtime of 9pm on Saturday. Dick and I want to get started for our trip home about 8am. We made the trip in 13 hours which breaks our old record of 14.5 hrs.  Posted by Picasa
We arrived in Florida on Thursday night 2/9/06. The next morning I went to apply for my Florida Driver's License and Dick went to Pilates class. Then I met Melissa with Paige and Sophia and we went to Registar my car and then apply for a Homestead Exemption. When we finished all of that(which took less than an hour) we picked up Dick and drove him to "Clinton's" to pick up his shiny new red car. On Saturday Dick went to Yoga and I took Emma and Paige to the "Sandy Park" which I love because the playground is all sand covered and borders the ICW. You can see a sailboat heading South??? maybe a little too late. Things will really start getting busy in April when the boats start heading back to the Northern climates after spending the winter in Florida or the Carribean. It was a warm and sunny day near 70 degrees. I was sucking it in, since there was a forecast for 6-8" of snow in Maryland. Emma and Paige also love this park. We spent over 3 hours just hanging out. Between the water and the gym/swings set the girls were very busy. Posted by Picasa Dick brought us some of the girls favorite donuts from Dunkin Donuts and we had a little snack to give us an energy boost.

Grandpa Dick, Haley and Mom. Haley took a little nap in the middle of her Party. Then she came back to open gifts, eat some Strawberry cake, that was her Dad's favorite since he was a little guy. Grandma Rosermade the cake and she did a good job, the cake was beautiful with pink icing and real Strawberries for decorations. Next everyone put on their party hats and sang Happy Birthday! All in all, I think she really enjoyed her first Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HALEY!!!!!! Posted by Picasa

After Gregory's Party, I left and went to Haley's 1st Birthday. Posted by Picasa
Today was the day we all got together for Gregory's Birthday. He will be 37??? on February 11th. We all chipped in to buy a Pochinko(sp??) game. It is like a Japanse ping ball game or so that is what they told me. Any way he seemed pretty happy, which is good because he is difficult to buy for. Karen had a big Chocolate/Chocolate cake, which is his favorite. Posted by Picasa
