Barbara's Va President's Tour (70th BD)

We gathered at Michie Tavern for some Lunch. Both of Barbara's children Greg & Christine where there with their families. Peyton is getting so tall, she is now seven, we don't see her as much since she moved to Chicago , but maybe her Mom will work for MM some day and they will live in FL. Eden has had enough touring , she elects to nap on grandfather John's shoulder. Barbara enjoying the Birthday Festivities in Charlottesville

Pinwhell Cake Recipe

This is the Recipe that was handed down to me from Myrtle Fissell (Greg & Melissa's Grandmother) Melissa is now trying to convince Sophia that this is what she wants for her Birthday, so far Sophie is sticking with Hello Kitty.

Paige Socceer

Emma decided she would be a photograher like her Dad at the games. She told us how to pose.

Ex-pert Gutter Cleaning

I fired my former X-Pert Gutter Cleaner because he knocked the cap off my solar panneling while on the roof, which caused the water to start cascading off the roof . I have been up there one time since to clean, but this area over the ceiling fan, I couldn't get to because there was a nest of HUGE ants. Luckily my Son took pity and did the job for me. I wish he would visit more often!

Fissell Family Birthday Cake

We had a special request from Melissa to make the cake that was handed down from her grandmother Myrtle. The copy I had was nearly 40 years old, she had Gil take it to the office and make a xerox copy for me, because the recipe was very long, and it would've taken her too long to write it out by hand. This was a cake that Greg Jr enjoyed for his Birthday, so since he was here, we baked this cake from scratch! Of course, i could not have done it without the help of my littlle grand-daughters. One of them believe she is following in the foot steps of the naked chef.

Emma's Field Day 3.27.08

Emma had Field Day at her school today. They had many different sites set up to challenge the kids. Emma did very good in the backwards scooter run. I believe the favorite was the tug of war, but of course some would disagree and say it was the snow cone booth or face painting stand.

Spring Training 3/20008

Tommy Lasorda meets umpires and Nats Mgr. at home base. Dick and Robert are ready for the game to begin. It was sunny and in the 80's. We all worked on our tans. I thought this was a beautiful field at Space Coast Stadium. Next year we are going to try to take in a Braves game at the WD sports Complex in Orlando.

Goal Weight--WW 3/6/2007

I met my WW Goal Weight
this week, of course I had to get out of my sick bed to be weighed in.
I was sick Wednesday thru Sunday, so I managed to loose 4.6 # this week, when I weighed in on Thursday. It will be interesting to see what numbers I pull this week. I didn't stay for my celebration, but from my previous experience, I now need to maintain that weight for 8 weeks, then I will start monthly meeting. I am going to be like my Aunt Doodie and stay trim for the Rest of My Life. Oh yea, I need to buy some new clothes!

Sophia, Such a Good Eater

Sophia came home with me last night after I finished working at Edward Jones. She had rice and Red beans, applesauce, Pomergrante Blueberry juice, and soybeans. I mean she cleaned her plate! She was really enjoying the soybeans, squeezing them from the pod and eating them. She got the bright idea that she would squeeze a bunch out and then eat them. That is a smile not a grimmace she is showing in the picture where she is eating applesauce. I was amazed that she ate the soybeans, but she didn't have any outside influence to think that they were not yummy! Wonder what I could try next time?

Mo's Landscape 2/25/08

Melissa decided to take matters into her own hands, since my River Rock Path was not moving fast enough for her. I had a ton of rocks that I needed to move to the backyard, which I am trying to transform. I have a shady corner in the backyard, and I want to make it into a tropical garden jungle. That is, if KiKi will stop digging the plants up as quick as I plant them. Lucky for me, Melissa did not have a teaching job, so we were able to move the rest of the rocks to the backyard. If anyone has any suggestions about keeping dogs away from plants, let me know. I actually am thinking about putting a fence across the back to partiton that area from KiKi. Now i need to get rid of that pile of mulch that you see in the background. That will be my project for next week after our cold spell.

KiKi and Finley 02/18/08

KiKi is overjoyed to have a new playmate, especially one that is smaller than she is! She was hopping all over the place trying to sniff Finley. Finally they relaxed for just a moment, so we could get some shots. KiKi better take advantage of Finley's size because I don't think he is going to stay that size for long.

Family Portrait

What a fine looking Family. KiKi is growing up so fast. We had this made thru the Fire Department, it was a fund raiser for them.
